Unplug from the grind.
Unlearn the bullshit.
Unleash your fancy feral Main Character Energy!

(Joy, science, sisterhood, & silliness included.)

I mean, is this it?

You’ve been holding your shit together for everyone—and you are so fucking tired.
The world feels like it’s on fire.
Your hormones got you ragey.
And you’ve been burned out probably since 2020.
So if you’re feeling exhausted, cynical, or slightly feral lately…
Good.
That might just mean you’re ready for something better.
Something louder.
Something real.
Something fun as hell.

WELCOME TO THE

A 3½  day gathering for midlife women who want more joy, connection, laughter, possibility, and a little frenchy main character energy in their lives.

  THEME:  It's Boundaries, Bitch!

Because it’s time to learn how to speak up for ourselves, let other grown-ass adults manage their own lives and feelings, and stop being the unpaid project manager of everyone else’s bullshit. Let's fucking go!

SPARK PLUS+

Meet SPARK+

SPARK Plus+ is a little different.

It’s a little more special, a little more elevated, and a lottle more intentional.

This is the SPARK experience you already love, but with a deeper focus, higher-end activities, more thoughtful details, and a weekend built around one powerful skill you can actually take home and use in your real life.

For Montréal, that skill is one that I truly believe can change your life: Boundaries

So yes, there will still be laughter, creativity, connection, fancy little moments, and delightfully unhinged SPARK nonsense. Obviously.

But SPARK Plus+ also gives us more room to go deeper. More time to learn. More time to practice. More time to walk away with actual words, tools, scripts, and confidence.

It’s joy with a purpose.

It’s personal growth with arts & crafts, sing-a-longs, game shows, trivia, puppies, stunning dresses, and a river cruise?

It’s a weekend to feel alive, connected, supported, and like you remember why you liked people & life again.

SPARK PLUS+

You’ll walk away with:

+ A new boundary skillset:
No one is walking out of this room without knowing exactly what a boundary is, how to recognize when you need one, how to say it clearly and kindly, and how to follow through when guilt, pushback, or old people-pleasing habits try to drag you back into bullshit.

+ A beautifully designed & printed SPARK Plus Boundary Workbook
Filled with resources from our workshops, reflection prompts, energy tracking, boundary scripts, practice exercises, and your personal Boundary Menu.

+ Your Personal Boundary Script Menu
Go-to phrases for saying no, asking for space, protecting your energy, ending conversations, handling guilt, and refusing to become the unpaid project manager of everyone else’s life.

+ The Energy Audit
A simple check-in tool to help you see what drains you, what feeds you, and where your life is begging for a little more “no merci.”

+ The Control Map
A practical exercise to help you separate what is yours from what is absolutely not yours, so you can stop wasting energy trying to manage things you cannot control.

MINI SPARK MONTREAL THEME

Schitt's CREEK!

Listen, I fucking love Schitt’s Creek. It's a top 5 show for me.

And there was simply no way we were going to Canada without honoring the genius of Catherine O’Hara, the glory of Moira Rose, and the absolute delight of a show that gave us drama, vocabulary, wigs, personal growth, and emotional support through deeply excellent facial expressions.

So yes, throughout the weekend, there will be Moira Moments.

Tiny, ridiculous, joyful little nods to the show woven into the SPARK Montréal experience.

You don’t need to be a fan of the show to enjoy it, but if you are, you will absolutely appreciate the dramatic little winks, the fabulous nonsense,  and all the fun.

CHECK OUT OUR FRENCHY, FANCY, & FERAL SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEKEND

THURSDAY - SEPT 10, 2026

DAY 1: Bonjour Boundaries

OPTIONAL: SPARKLY DRESS! Bring on all the sequins, tinsel, & more!

Check-in 8:30 AM | Sessions 9 AM – 4 PM | Lunch on your own

Theme: Turns out, we were taught to be nice, helpful, available, and low-maintenance. Let’s fucking unpack that.

9:00 AM – Welcome & Guidelines
Meet Kira and get a preview of our silly & awesome joyride ahead.

9:30 AM –  Boundaries: How did we get here & why are we like this?
A funny, honest, and wildly relatable look at what boundaries actually are, why they can feel so uncomfortable, and how gen x/millennial women were raised to be the unpaid managers of everyone else’s feelings, plans, needs, and nonsense.

10:30 AM - Morning Break with "Where Are You Currently Pretending It’s Fine?" Activity
Stretch, hydrate, and join me for this short, fun activity to see where your boundaries are currently working, shaky, or questionable at best.

11:00 AM - Is it a boundary, a tough conversation, a wall, or a tiny little control issue wearing a cute hat?   Before we can set better boundaries, we need to know what the hell a boundary actually is.

In this funny, practical workshop, we’ll untangle the difference between a boundary, a request, a preference, a tough conversation, a wall, and a tiny little control issue wearing a cute hat.

Because not everything we call a boundary is actually a boundary and that is a big part of the confusion.

11:40 AM -  Is it actually a Boundary Game Show?

Now that we’ve learned what boundaries are, let’s see if we can spot them in the wild.

In this fast, funny game show, we’ll sort real-life scenarios into categories: boundary, request, preference, tough conversation, wall, consequence, or a tiny control issue wearing a cute hat.

You’ll laugh, debate, and leave with a clearer sense of what actually counts as a boundary and what is just people-pleasing in a trench coat.

12:00 PM – Lunch (on your own) with new friends!

AFTERNOON FUN GROUP ACTIVITIES

1:00 PM –Artsy Fartsy time: Boundaries Patron Saint Halo Crown Bar & Sing-a-long.

We always make a crown (because you are a queen, bitch! Act like it!)

I will give you the starter gold halo crown & I'll supply a table with everything you need to personalize it with embellishments to make it your own!

You’ll choose your own vibe, maybe romantic, sparkly, moody, fancy, feral, or full patron-saint-of-zero-fucks, then personalize your halo with a title that fits the woman you’re becoming.

Possible saint names include:

Patron Saint of Boundaries
Our Lady of Taking Up Space
Saint Croissant of Main Character Energy
Patron Saint of Leaving Early
Our Lady of Zero Fucks
Saint Midlife the Unbothered

While you are making your crown, I will be playing bangers from the 80s, 90s, & beyond for us to sing-a-long to. This is fully ridiculous in the best possible way.

2:15 PM – 3:30 PM – Drag Bingo

Hosted by one of Montreal's top drag queens. You’ll yell, you’ll cackle, you’ll wonder why all learning doesn’t involve wigs and lip gloss.

Ridiculous prizes, zero judgment, maximum serotonin.

4:00 PM -  Optional Upgrade Activity:

Puppy Cuddle Party!

That’s right — there is nothing happier than just pure, unfiltered puppy playtime! None of this pretending we want to do yoga shit...we are there for the cuddles!

We’ll split everyone into small groups so you get a full 20–30 minutes of uninterrupted puppy cuddles. Because sometimes joy literally has four paws and a wagging tail.

$30 per person

FRIDAY - SEPT 11, 2026

DAY 2: The Nope Lab

Sessions 9 AM – 4 PM | Lunch on your own

THEME:  Knowing you need a boundary is adorable. Actually saying it out loud is where the witchcraft & magic begins.

9:00 AM – Group Intros Now that we’ve had some fun together, let’s actually get to know each other a little bit more. Just real humans, in a room, being honest about where they are right now.

10:00 AM – Break - 80s vs 90s Heartthrob Trivia
Stretch it out, and get ready for the ultimate throwback challenge. From Tiger Beat covers to iconic rom-com quotes, see if you can guess your favorite heartthrobs and pop-culture legends for ridiculous prizes and bragging rights.

10:20 AM -How to Set a Boundary Without Turning It Into a Full Emotional PowerPoint
We’ll learn simple, usable boundary language that is clear, kind, firm, and short. No 900-word apology. No courtroom defense. No “I’m so sorry to even have a need” energy.
Short, sweet, effective.

11:00 AM – Boundary Script Builder & Practice Rounds
You’ll take real-life situations and create actual boundary scripts you can use with family, friends, partners, coworkers, adult children, group texts, and anyone else currently treating your life like a 24-hour emotional help desk. Get feedback from Kira in real time, so you can will feel shaky, but excited about your new baby skill.

12 PM – Lunch (on your own) with new friends!

FANCY AS FUCK FRIDAY!

Wear the Damn Outfit Cruise & Photo Shoot

This is going to be amazing & I am SOOOOO excited!

Friday afternoon, we're taking SPARK Montréal to the river for a fancy, funny, gloriously feral cruise and photo shoot. This is the event of the weekend. Full stop.

Extended lunch break first to eat, breathe, then go put on the outfit you almost talked yourself out of packing.

That dress that's been hanging in your closet waiting for an occasion that never came? It came. That outfit you keep holding up to the mirror going, "Do I dare?" You dare. You absolutely dare.

Wear a stunning party dress or jumpsuit. A Bridgerton Dress with tiara. A unicorn costume. Be Xena the Warrior Princess. Recreate Princess Buttercup or the Dread Pirate Roberts! I could not give one single shit what you pick.

There's exactly one rule:

Wear something that makes you feel FUCKING FABULOUS!  Something that you can look back at pictures of yourself and smile or laugh or BOTH!

You'll meet us at the pier for a full red carpet arrival — because if you're wearing the damn outfit, we are not sneaking it onto a boat. We are flaunting it. Photographer hired, pier to deck, the whole thing documented.

Picture it: a boat full of women being fabulous, ridiculous, elegant, sparkly, dramatic, powerful — whatever the hell fabulous means to each of them. And you walk away with the pics and video to prove it happened.

Let's start creating the person you always wanted to be!

5:30 PM  -  Optional Upgrade Activity:

Fancy as Fuck English Tea at the Paparmane

Keep that outfit on, because the fun does not need to end...yet!

We are getting even fancier (is it possible?) and going to Bridgerton this shit up with a private, colorful, and gourmet version of English tea time just for our group!

We are taking over the absolutely adorable pink themed English tea experience at Paparmane and living our best lives.

Each guest receives their own personalized 3-tier platter of food, served with one of 21 house blends of teas and herbal teas.

I LOVE THIS JOURNEY FOR US!!!

$45 Per Person includes tea, sandwiches, and more.

**they offer gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options too.

SATURDAY - SEPT. 12, 2026

DAY 3: HOLD THE LINE, SUGAR PANTS

OPTIONAL: Grab your caftan & dress as your best MRS. ROPER!

Sessions 9 AM – 3 PM | Lunch on your own

THEME: The first boundary is cute. The follow-through is where the magic and the mild panic live.

9:00 AM – Rise &  Rave!  We start the day the only civilized way we should our last day in Montreal: with a DJ, coffee, croissants, and dancing to current hits and classics that make your knees question your choices but your soul say, “Fuck yes!”

9:45 AM - The Guilt Goblin Rewrite
We’ll look at the guilt thoughts that show up when you set a boundary, then rewrite them into something more useful, honest, and less likely to shove you back into the role of “woman who handles everything while quietly losing her mind.”

10:15 AM – Morning Break with The Pushback Games
A funny, fast-paced practice where we respond to common boundary pushbacks without immediately folding like a sad lawn chair.

10:45 AM –What to Do When People Push Back, Guilt-Trip, or We Suddenly Forget How Words Work
We’ll look at what happens after you set a boundary and someone responds with “but you always do it,” “that seems harsh,” “I was just joking,” or the ever-popular silent treatment with jazz hands.

11:30 AM -  Boundary Script Builder & Practice Rounds Part 2
You’ll take real-life situations and create actual boundary scripts you can use with family, friends, partners, coworkers, adult children, group texts, and anyone else currently treating your life like a 24-hour emotional help desk.

12 PM – Lunch (On Your Own)with your new friends!

AFTERNOON FUN GROUP ACTIVITIES

1: 00 PM – Artsy Fartsy Time: Boundaries Badge of Awesomeness & Sing-a-long!

You’ve created your patron saint crown. Now it’s time for your official badge of honor.

In this craft time, you’ll design your own one-of-a-kind boundary badge using ribbons, charms, beads, felt, sparkle, and whatever tiny treasures speak to your newly unbothered soul.

And it's not Artsy Fartsy time without a Sing-a-long! We will put our empowering favorites on & shout them to the rooftops!

2:00 PM – Mrs. Roper Romp Scavenger Hunt
Grab your caftan, wig, and your sense of adventure — it’s time for the Mrs. Roper Romp Scavenger Hunt! I'll break you into small groups & you’ll explore, laugh, and complete delightfully ridiculous challenges with your fellow midlife mischief-makers. Expect silly challenges, teamwork, and pure joy — because who said personal growth can’t include a little sparkle and chaos?

Mrs. Roper dress up is HIGHLY encouraged!

After the scavenger hunt, stay in costume & we will head out somewhere nearby to laugh, grab a mocktail or cocktail, and celebrate our last night together.

SUNDAY - SEPT. 13, 2026

DAY 4: THE SPARK SEND-OFF

Sessions 9 AM – 12 PM

Theme:
You’re not “going back” — you’re taking the good stuff forward.

9:00 AM – How to Take This Home
The goal isn’t to go back and “do better.” It’s to go home and be different. Together, we’ll talk about what it actually looks like to bring Spark into real life — the mindset shifts and the boundary habits that help you protect your peace when life gets loud again.

9:45 AM – (Spark Note to Future Me)
This isn’t homework — it’s a time capsule. You’ll write a short, funny, heartfelt note to your future self — the one who might forget how good this weekend felt.
We’ll seal them up and mail them back to you in a few weeks — right when you need the reminder that she’s still in there: calm, confident, and covered in glitter.

10:15 AM – Quick Break

10:30 AM – Q&A with Kira
Nothing’s off-limits. Coaching questions, midlife rants, Spark curiosities — this is your time to dig deeper, reflect, or just say the thing you’ve been thinking all weekend. It’s part conversation, part celebration, and totally real.

11:00 AM – Goodbye Ceremony & Final Boundary revealThis is where we wrap it all up — with gratitude, laughter, and maybe a few tears.
A short reflection, some heartfelt words, and a few hugs later, you’ll head out carrying more calm, more clarity, and a deeper sense of connection — to yourself and to this community.

12:00 PM – Departures & Hugs

This isn't goodbye. Just a "see you soon" at the next Spark!

JOY ADDITIONS FOR SPARK MONTREAL

JOY ACTIVATORS

Every day comes with joy activators that make the whole experience way more fun.

Squeaker chickens.
Neon stick-on mustaches.
Crayons for taking notes on your table.
Light-up wands.
Mini glitter ducks you’ll leave all over Montreal like tiny sparkly chaos.

Little moments that get you out of your head, back into your body, and laughing with a bunch of women who are right there with you.

It’s playful. It’s ridiculous. It’s exactly the fucking point.

JOY ADDITIONS FOR SPARK MONTREAL

THE SPARKLE BAR

From the second you walk in… it’s game on.

Glitter. Sparkly tattoos. Sequins. Gold freckles. Probably a few questionable decisions.

This is your official permission slip to be extra, a little ridiculous, and fully seen.

No rules. No subtlety.
Just you… but shinier.

Why Montréal?

I love Montreal. It is a seriously slept on city.

Welcome to this little francophile heaven where you can walk cobblestone streets, grab a delicious croissant, admire river views, gorgeous old buildings, fancy little shops, cheese, and the very real possibility of becoming the main character in your own life again.  All without getting jet lag and Canadians!

Our home base is right downtown, which means you are not tucked away somewhere requiring a rental car, a prayer, and snacks for survival. You step outside and you are in it. Coffee. cafés. restaurants. shopping. Old Montréal. the Old Port. the river. Places to wander, sit, snack, laugh, take photos, and have a tiny dramatic renaissance between workshops.

Montréal is stylish, delicious, walkable, artsy, a little European, and just extra enough to make everything feel special without trying too hard.

Which is exactly what we want.

SPARK Montréal is not about escaping your life.

It is about stepping into a city that reminds you your life is still allowed to feel beautiful, funny, fancy, delicious, and wildly yours.

Preferably with a croissant in one hand and main character energy in the other.

MEET OUR SPACE & HOTEL

Check out the stunning Renaissance - Montreal Downtown

Our high-end mothership for the weekend is the Renaissance Montréal Downtown Hotel, right in the heart of the city and perfectly placed for our French-adjacent, croissant-fueled, main-character weekend.

This boutique downtown hotel has modern, stylish rooms, cozy places to gather, free Wi-Fi, an on-site restaurant, a rooftop terrace with drinks & food, and a 24-hour fitness center for anyone who likes to pretend they might work out between pastries and emotional breakthroughs.

Step outside and you’re immediately in the middle of Montréal magic: great coffee, amazing restaurants, shopping, city energy, and the cobblestoned beauty of Old Montréal just close enough for wandering, photos, and pretending we are in a very chic French movie.

They gave us a room block just for our group for $229 a night plus taxes.  Fuck yeah!

Retreats are my favorite thing ever!

I've been running retreats since 2014 & they are kinda my thing.

Helping women cut through the noise and figure out what actually lights them up — not what looks good on paper, not what other people expect, but what makes sense for who you are right now is my daily goal.

Not the version of you who held it all together while quietly burning out. The current you — smart, capable, maybe a little crispy around the edges, but ready for something more grounded, more joyful, and a hell of a lot more you.

I’ve spent years coaching and studying positive psychology, but more importantly, I’ve spent years having real conversations with women who are tired of running on autopilot.

Working with me feels like having a smart, thoughtful, no-fluff friend who gives you advice you can trust...in your corner.

Because this part of your story?
It’s not the end. It’s the beginning of something way better.

Who Spark is for:

1. Women who are done pretending everything’s fine.

You’ve held it together for everyone — family, work, life — and you’re finally ready to find what lights you up again. You don’t need to be fixed; you just need space to breathe, laugh, and reconnect to yourself.

2. Women who crave joy, realness, & community.

You’re tired of surface-level connection. You want to be around kind, funny, down-to-earth women who get it — who want to dance a little, laugh a lot, and talk about the real stuff without judgment.

3. Women who are curious, open, and ready to play.

You don’t have to know what’s next — you just have to show up. You’re willing to try new things, even if they’re a little outside your comfort zone, because you know that’s where the magic (and the laughter) lives.

"I left with a renewed peaceful joy, unexpected silliness, and a very real spark I thought I’d left in my earlier years."

Attending Kira's SPARK Midlife event in San Diego was not on my 2026 bingo card, but it turned out to be a free space I didn’t know I needed. Kira's passion and teachings wrangled 50 women into instant soul sisters--and no Wi-Fi was required.

I left with a renewed peaceful joy, unexpected silliness, and a very real spark I thought I’d left in my earlier years. If you need to spark joy in your life, join Kira on an event or work with her to really dig in--ZERO regrets, FIVE stars.

KATE - California

Who Spark is NOT for:

1.The “mean girl” energy crowd.

If you’re the type who sits in the back, rolls your eyes, judges others, and refuses to engage in anything that feels unfamiliar (that’s fear, by the way), this probably isn’t your scene.

2. Anyone who thinks compassion has conditions.

If you believe that only certain people — based on color, body size, sexuality, religion, gender identity, or background — deserve love, respect, or joy… Spark is not for you.

3. Anyone looking for a perfectly curated, influencer-style weekend.

This isn’t a retreat for fake smiles & fake besties! Fuck that shit.  Spark is about real people, real connection, messy laughter, and full permission to be yourself — not about performing for others. Haven't we done that long enough?

I signed up for this event during the gov't shutdown in Oct/Nov.  I had nothing but time on my hands to consider and evaluate "what am I doing?", found this retreat, and set everything up.

As the time came for me to go to San Diego, the only hesitation was the same one that comes before anything I sign up for... I get comfy and as the time to leave arrives I begin to question -

Do I really want to do this?  Is this worth the money, time, & energy?

It was indeed worth it!!

I was most surprised at the common shared experiences of all women in the room. We could all share a similar language thru our individual lenses and life experiences.

Attend with an open heart, speak up about your experiences because you are not alone, and dive deep into the fun.  Don't sit on the sideline or hide in the hotel room.

Spark Guidelines

This weekend is about joy, connection, and community — so here are a few gentle ground rules to help keep the vibe fun, kind, and drama-free.

1. No Drama Llamas.
We left high school decades ago. No gossip, no eye rolls, no side commentary.

2. Confidentiality matters.
What’s shared at Spark stays at Spark. Everyone deserves a space to be honest and real without worrying it’ll leave the room.

3. No fixing or unsolicited advice.
You don’t need to solve anyone’s life, you are. Just listen, laugh, and support. (I’ve got the teaching & coaching covered).

4. Embrace the awkward.
You might dance, glue sequins to a crown, or laugh so hard you snort. That’s kind of the point.

5. Phones down, hearts open.
Snap a few pics, then be here. The real moments don’t need a filter.

6. Comfort over everything.
Wear what feels good, bring what helps, and don’t suffer through bad shoes or uncomfortable pants.

7. Assume good intent.
Everyone’s doing their best. If something feels off, give grace, take a breath, and remember — no drama llamas.

I feel like I’m leaving behind little sparkle footprints everywhere I go now!”

“Spark was EXACTLY the event I needed to inject some lightness, levity, and JOY back into my life. I walked away with fabulous new friendships and a renewed sense of self. I feel like I’m leaving behind little sparkle footprints everywhere I go now!”

ALL SPARK EVENTS

The Five Elements of Every SPARK

Every SPARK is a little different depending on the city and the theme.  But every single one is built around the same five core ideas.

1.  Spread Feral Hope & Joy!

Through laughter that makes you snort, glitter you'll be finding for weeks, hot-to-trot crafts, dancing like nobody's filming, sequins for absolutely no reason, and a daily pile of joy activators that drag you out of your head and back into your body. Joy is the whole damn point and to take it back home with you to ripple out to the world!

2. Find Your Future Golden Girls (or Ropers)

The best part of my events is the room of real midlife women — every shade, every size, every story — where you find out you are not the only one who is feeling all of the feelings right now! They tend to be critical thinkers, smart as fuck, are finding their fire, unlearning the bullshit we were taught, and becoming the kind of role models they needed when they were younger. They are the ones who will laugh and cry with you, hype you up, celebrate your successes, and absolutely join you for cheesecake and late-night chats.

And by late-night, obviously, I mean 9 pm.

3. Heal like a motherfucker

Through 30-second hugs (optional, always) and positive psychology workshops that don't suck — science-backed, never dry, occasionally featuring a squeaker chicken. Through cuddling baby animals — kittens, puppies, and goats so far — because sometimes the best medicine has four legs and zero agenda. Through proving to yourself that you can still be silly and brave at this age.

4. Play Like an Adult

Remember fun? We're bringing it back loud and with matching satin jackets. Rage rooms & rage painting parties, game shows, dance breaks, and 80s and 90s singalongs at full volume. Easy group dancing where everyone's a little awkward and achy and nobody gives a damn. Plus a Mrs. Roper Romp Scavenger Hunt, Drag Bingo, cosplay nights, and a steady supply of the gloriously ridiculous.

5. Release the Rage (Or Use It for Fuel)

You're not too much — you've just been holding it for decades, and it's quietly wrecking you. So here we let it out: loud, messy rage release, plus somatic basics that move the stuck stuff and finally complete the stress cycle your body never got to finish.

Rage isn't a problem. It's information. It's fuel. Stop swallowing it and it turns into clarity, into power, into pointing all that fire at something worth changing. Midlife women with their rage aimed in the right direction? That's not a crisis. That's a force.

Let’s get loud, laugh hard, & take up space.

Let’s be gloriously too much, on purpose.

Let’s make midlife look like freedom.

Let’s stop shrinking and start shining.

Let’s be the women our younger selves needed to see.
