Yup! I regularly have people from all over the world join me on my retreats.
We would love to have you!

WELCOME TO THE
A 3½-day gathering for midlife women ready to laugh harder, play louder, trust themselves, make new friends, and stop organizing their entire lives around being liked.
There will be science.
There will be personal growth.
There will be puppies.
There will be wigs, drag librarians, bedazzled books, sashes, Mrs. Roper chaos, scavenger hunts, and a smutty & feral book fair!
Because sometimes healing looks like wearing a ridiculous wig while bowling.
And frankly, I think we deserve a lot more of that.
SPARK DENVER THEME
She is a collection of rules you were handed before you were old enough to question them.
And it's time she can finally clock out.
At SPARK Denver, we’re calling out the old rules, deciding which ones never belonged to us, and figuring out who we want to be now.
Not a new, improved, more productive version of you. You, without 40 years of bullshit sitting on your chest.
THURSDAY - NOVEMBER 12, 2026
OPTIONAL DRESS: SPARKLE BITCHES! Wear your sequins, tinsel, or most shiniest outfit!
Theme: Turns out, what we learned about being happy was BS. Today is about fixing that.
9:00 AM – Welcome & Guidelines
Meet Kira and get a preview of the joy ride ahead.
9:45 AM – The Lies We Were Told About Happiness
An eye-opening & humorous look at how our culture set us up to chase the wrong things—and what to focus on instead for bringing lots more joy into our life.
10:30 AM – Morning Break with Totally Relatable Game Show (always new)
Stretch, hydrate, and learn how NOT alone you are with our mini game show.
11:00 AM – How We Actually Get Happy
Turns out happiness isn’t magic—it’s a skill (and one no one ever taught us). We’ll dig into how your brain actually creates joy—and how to spark more of it on purpose—in a way that’s equal parts science, humor, and “ohhh, that totally tracks.”
12:00 PM – Lunch (on your own) with new friends!
AFTERNOON FUN GROUP ACTIVITIES
1:00 PM –Artsy Fartsy time: Good Girls Gone Feral Necklace Making favorite Women Ragey Anthems!
Choose your beads, tassels, colors, and one gloriously loud word to wear around your neck. FERAL. JOY. CHAOS. BOLD. WILD. Whatever feels like you.
We’ll crank up the 80s and 90s while we create bright, gloriously oversized necklaces that say the quiet part out loud.
No jewelry-making experience required. If you can string a bead and yell-sing Wilson Phillips, Salt-N-Pepa, or Alanis, you’re wildly overqualified.
2:30PM - 4:30 PM
Keep on your sparkles but let's take it up a notch and hit up the bowling alley.
Grab the funniest most colorful wig & accessories you can find and let's go bowling!
There will be zero dignity, a lot of laughter, and a surprising amount of commitment to the bit. We are heading to a nearby bowling alley where you can bowl & be silly.
No bowling skills required. Just vibes, fake trash talk, and fully becoming the loudest, most ridiculous version of yourself.
5:00 PM - Optional Upgrade Activities
After a day of happiness, crafts, & bowling...we are soothing our nervous systems with puppies.
That’s right — there is nothing happier than just pure, unfiltered puppy playtime! None of this pretending we want to do yoga shit...we are there for the cuddles!
We’ll split everyone into small groups so you get a full 20–30 minutes of uninterrupted puppy cuddles. Because sometimes joy literally has four paws and a wagging tail.
$35 per person
FRIDAY - NOVEMBER 13, 2026
9:00 AM – How the Hell Did We Get Here?
A funny, honest look at what Gen X and elder millennial women learned from our families, schools, magazines, movies, workplaces, and the general cultural fever dream of the 80s and 90s.
We’ll examine the lessons that told us to be likable, low-maintenance, thin, pleasant, helpful, grateful, selfless, successful but not intimidating, and magically capable of doing everything without appearing tired.
It was an impossible assignment.
No wonder we’re exhausted.
10:00 AM – Break - Flash Mob Practice
We are not just dressing up as an army of Mrs. Ropers on Saturday. We are taking our caftans, red wigs, and complete lack of subtlety into downtown Denver for a full-on SPARK flash mob.
You’ll get the dance and all the details before you arrive, and we’ll practice together so nobody has to panic about which way we’re grapevining.
This is not about getting it perfect. It’s about feeling ready, being ridiculous, and having an absolute blast. Absolutely Optional.
10:45 AM -Is It Kindness or Is It Good Girl Conditioning?
A fast, funny game about the difference between genuine kindness and abandoning your own needs because someone might be mildly disappointed.
Examples may include:
There will be laughter, debate, and at least one moment when the entire room feels personally attacked by a hypothetical group text.
12 PM – Lunch (on your own) with new friends!
FRIDAY AFTERNOON- 1:30PM - 4:00 PM
OPTIONAL DRESS: Dress as your favorite book or storybook character!
Alice? Ramona Quimby? Ms. Frizzle? A dragon-slaying fantasy queen? A very hungry caterpillar with excellent boundaries? Go for it.
The book fair of our childhood dreams just hit perimenopause, discovered smut, and got access to grown-woman money.
The fresh books. The rainbow pens. The novelty erasers. The scratch and sniff stickers? The crushing financial reality of having six dollars and wanting everything.
Well, buckle the fuck up, Judy Blume.
And it's just for us. No boys or kids allowed.
Most of the crafts, games, activities, prizes, and general book-fair chaos are included in your SPARK ticket.
You’ll only pay extra if you choose to buy books, merch, or special services from our fabulous local vendors.
Are you ready for this nostalgia-soaked, glitter-covered, laugh-until-you-snort celebration of books, creativity, curiosity, whimsical fever dream?
*All vendors are women or LGTBQIA+ owned. That shit matters to me.
4:30 - 6:00 PM – Optional Upgrade Activity:
Sometimes self-care is deep breathing. Sometimes it’s writing what you’re ready to release on a glass bottle and hurling it at a wall.
Amazing owner Erica, will walk us through a full rage process where you’ll smash paint-filled bottles, let all the feelings the fuck out, then unwind in E·motion’s dimly lit recovery space with swings, stretching, music, and grounding vibes.
Sounds like heaven.
$40 Per Person (limited spots available)
SATURDAY - NOVEMBER 14, 2026
OPTIONAL: Grab your caftan & dress as your best MRS. ROPER! The more colorful the better!
THEME: Let's save ourselves & change the world!
9:00 AM – Who are you without the good girl rules?
If you stop building your life around what a woman is “supposed” to be, what becomes possible?
What do you want more of?
What are you done tolerating?
What feels fun, meaningful, interesting, brave, or gloriously unnecessary?
This is where we stop defining ourselves by the rules we are rejecting and start creating something that actually belongs to us.
10:15 AM – Morning Break with The Pushback Games
A funny, fast-paced practice where we respond to common family, friends, work, parents pushbacks without immediately folding like a sad lawn chair.
10:40 AM - Trust Yourself, Sugar Pants
We’ll look at why self-trust can feel so difficult, how we learned to override our own knowing, and what it looks like to rebuild that trust through small, ordinary decisions.
No dramatic reinvention required.
12 PM – Lunch (On Your Own)with your new friends!
AFTERNOON FUN GROUP ACTIVITIES
1:00 PM –Artsy Fartsy time: Smut, Sparkle & Sing-Alongs
In honor of our Fuck Being the Good Girl theme, we’re bedazzling the ever-loving shit out of our favorite books.
Bring one of your brand-new book fair treasures, your dragon-filled fantasy starring a morally questionable fae warrior, your gay hockey smut, your delightfully weird murder mystery, Pride and Prejudice, or the book that changed your whole damn life.
We do not judge books or the women who love them.
I’ll provide all the supplies you need & the greatest 80s and 90s female songs. Think a mix of Wilson Phillips, Blondie, Salt-N-Pepa, Alanis & Tracy Chapman. In other words, super awesome.
3:00 PM – Mrs. Roper Takes Denver: Scavenger Hunt & Surprise Flash Mob!
Grab your caftan, curly wig, oversized sunglasses, and commitment to being delightfully ridiculous. We’re taking over downtown Denver, Mrs. Roper style!
You’ll head out in small groups to complete hilarious challenges, take absurd photos, and create a little wholesome midlife mayhem with your fellow mischief-makers.
Then we’ll gather in one central spot and surprise downtown Denver with a full-on Mrs. Roper flash mob. Yes, a whole glorious crowd of caftan-clad women dancing in public and making everyone wonder what the hell just happened.
Mrs. Roper attire is HIGHLY encouraged. The louder the caftan, the better.
After that, we will all meet up for a mocktail/cocktail and spend our last night together!
SUNDAY - NOVEMBER 15, 2026
Theme:
You’re not “going back” — you’re taking the good stuff forward.
9:00 AM – How to Take This Home
The goal isn’t to go back and “do better.” It’s to go home and be different. Together, we’ll talk about what it actually looks like to bring Spark into real life — the mindset shifts and the boundary habits that help you protect your peace when life gets loud again.
9:45 AM – (Spark Note to Future Me)
This isn’t homework — it’s a time capsule. You’ll write a short, funny, heartfelt note to your future self — the one who might forget how good this weekend felt.
We’ll seal them up and mail them back to you in a few weeks — right when you need the reminder that she’s still in there: calm, confident, and covered in glitter.
10:15 AM – Quick Break
10:30 AM – Q&A with Kira
Nothing’s off-limits. Coaching questions, midlife rants, Spark curiosities — this is your time to dig deeper, reflect, or just say the thing you’ve been thinking all weekend. It’s part conversation, part celebration, and totally real.
11:00 AM – Goodbye Ceremony & Final SPARK Reveal This is where we wrap it all up — with gratitude, laughter, and maybe a few tears.
A short reflection, some heartfelt words, and a few hugs later, you’ll head out carrying more calm, more clarity, and a deeper sense of connection — to yourself and to this community.
12:00 PM – Departures & Hugs
This isn't goodbye. Just a "see you soon" at the next Spark!
JOY ADDITIONS FOR SPARK DENVER
Every day comes with joy activators that make the whole experience way more fun.
Squeaker chickens.
Neon stick-on mustaches.
Crayons for taking notes on your table.
Light-up wands.
Mini glitter ducks you’ll leave all over Denver like tiny sparkly chaos. And so much more.
Little moments that get you out of your head, back into your body, and laughing with a bunch of women who are right there with you.
It’s playful. It’s ridiculous. It’s exactly the fucking point.
JOY ADDITIONS FOR SPARK DENVER
From the second you walk in… it’s game on.
Glitter. Sparkly tattoos. Sequins. Gold freckles. Probably a few questionable decisions.
This is your official permission slip to be extra, a little ridiculous, and fully seen.
No rules. No subtlety.
Just you… but shinier.
For the past 18 years, I helped women get out of their own way to create unshakeable self-worth, joy, & relationships.
I mix positive psychology, brain science, and real-life midlife magic to help you create joy that actually lasts. No perfection, no pretending—just real women, real laughter, and real change.
Because you’re not broken, behind, or too old to start something new.
You’re right on time.
And Spark is where it gets fun again.
I've been running retreats since 2014 & they are kinda my thing.
Helping women cut through the noise and figure out what actually lights them up — not what looks good on paper, not what other people expect, but what makes sense for who you are right now is my daily goal.
Not the version of you who held it all together while quietly burning out. The current you — smart, capable, maybe a little crispy around the edges, but ready for something more grounded, more joyful, and a hell of a lot more you.
I’ve spent years coaching and studying positive psychology, but more importantly, I’ve spent years having real conversations with women who are tired of running on autopilot.
Working with me feels like having a smart, thoughtful, no-fluff friend who gives you advice you can trust...in your corner.
Because this part of your story?
It’s not the end. It’s the beginning of something way better.
You’ve held it together for everyone — family, work, life — and you’re finally ready to find what lights you up again. You don’t need to be fixed; you just need space to breathe, laugh, and reconnect to yourself.
You’re tired of surface-level connection. You want to be around kind, funny, down-to-earth women who get it — who want to dance a little, laugh a lot, and talk about the real stuff without judgment.
You don’t have to know what’s next — you just have to show up. You’re willing to try new things, even if they’re a little outside your comfort zone, because you know that’s where the magic (and the laughter) lives.
Attending Kira's SPARK Midlife event in San Diego was not on my 2026 bingo card, but it turned out to be a free space I didn’t know I needed. Kira's passion and teachings wrangled 50 women into instant soul sisters--and no Wi-Fi was required.
Kira's passion and teachings wrangled 50 women into instant soul sisters--and no Wi-Fi was required. I left with a renewed peaceful joy, unexpected silliness, and a very real spark I thought I’d left in my earlier years. If you need to spark joy in your life, join Kira on an event or work with her to really dig in--ZERO regrets, FIVE stars.
KATE - California
If you’re the type who sits in the back, rolls your eyes, judges others, and refuses to engage in anything that feels unfamiliar (that’s fear, by the way), this probably isn’t your scene.
If you believe that only certain people — based on color, body size, sexuality, religion, gender identity, or background — deserve love, respect, or joy… Spark is not for you.
This isn’t a retreat for fake smiles & fake besties! Fuck that shit. Spark is about real people, real connection, messy laughter, and full permission to be yourself — not about performing for others. Haven't we done that long enough?
As the time came for me to go to San Diego, the only hesitation was the same one that comes before anything I sign up for... I get comfy and as the time to leave arrives I begin to question -
Do I really want to do this? Is this worth the money, time, & energy?
It was indeed worth it!!
I was most surprised at the common shared experiences of all women in the room. We could all share a similar language thru our individual lenses and life experiences.
Attend with an open heart, speak up about your experiences because you are not alone, and dive deep into the fun. Don't sit on the sideline or hide in the hotel room.
REBECCA - WASHINGTON
This weekend is about joy, connection, and community — so here are a few gentle ground rules to help keep the vibe fun, kind, and drama-free.
1. No Drama Llamas.
We left high school decades ago. No gossip, no eye rolls, no side commentary.
2. Confidentiality matters.
What’s shared at Spark stays at Spark. Everyone deserves a space to be honest and real without worrying it’ll leave the room.
3. No fixing or unsolicited advice.
You don’t need to solve anyone’s life, you are. Just listen, laugh, and support. (I’ve got the teaching & coaching covered).
4. Embrace the awkward.
You might dance, glue sequins to a crown, or laugh so hard you snort. That’s kind of the point.
5. Phones down, hearts open.
Snap a few pics, then be here. The real moments don’t need a filter.
6. Comfort over everything.
Wear what feels good, bring what helps, and don’t suffer through bad shoes or uncomfortable pants.
7. Assume good intent.
Everyone’s doing their best. If something feels off, give grace, take a breath, and remember — no drama llamas.
“Spark was EXACTLY the event I needed to inject some lightness, levity, and JOY back into my life. I walked away with fabulous new friendships and a renewed sense of self. I feel like I’m leaving behind little sparkle footprints everywhere I go now!”
