Unplug from the grind.
Unlearn the bullshit.
Unleash your feral midlife magic.

(Joy, science, sisterhood, & silliness included.)

I mean, is this it?

You’ve been holding your shit together for everyone—and you are so fucking tired.
The world feels like it’s on fire.
Your hormones got you ragey.
And you’ve been burned out probably since 2020.

You’re not broken. You’re just fried. Crispy.

INTRODUCING

3 1/2 day events for midlife women over 40 to bring more joy, community, & spark back to their life.

Come get shiny & weird with us in

THEME:  Shiny Bitches Unite

This is where we stop toning it down and start turning it all the way up.

Disco balls, bold color, sequins, sparkle, a little chaos—and zero pressure to be anything but fully yourself.
We’re leaning into joy, taking up space, and letting things be a little messy, a little loud, and a lot more fun.

What's new about SPARK Portland?
  • Rage Painting Afternoon
  • Baby Goat Cuddle Party
  • Getting Wiggy with It Bowling & Karaoke Party
  • Sparkle Bar

You’ll leave with more joy in your body, more sparkle on your face, and a concerning emotional bond with a baby goat.

LET ME IN THERE

SPARK PLUS+ EVENT

Come get Frenchy & feral with us in

THEME: It's Boundaries, Bitch!

We are exploring the amazing old Montreal, eating our weight in cheese & croissants, and learning how to set healthy & realistic boundaries WITHOUT coming off as a bitch.

SPARK Montréal is SPARK Plus, which means we are taking all the joy, laughter, sparkle, connection, and ridiculous fun of SPARK and adding a deeper workshop focus. This time, our morning sessions will center on one life-changing topic: boundaries.

We will learn them, apply them, practice them, and make them feel less like a scary confrontation and more like a skill you can actually use in your real life. Because knowing you “need better boundaries” is one thing. Feeling strong knowing what to say, how to say it, and sticking to it...that is where the magic happens.

SPARK Montréal Only Events

  • Morning Mini Rave with coffee & croissants!
  • Dress as your favorite Schitt's Creek Character & Schitt's Creek Olympics
  • Patron Saint Halo Crown Craft Bar
  • Boundaries Price is Right! Game Show
  • Puppy Cuddle Party of Awesomeness

COMING IN MID-JUNE!

Come get Feral & Retro with us in

THEME:  Fuck Being the Good Girl

SPARK Denver is for every midlife woman who is done being polite, practical, pleasing, and well-behaved.

Our hotel, The Curtis, is a recently renovated pop culture themed hotel with retro themed rooms!  And we are leaning into it...hard

Spark Denver Only Events:
  • No boys allowed 80s/90s Prom
  • Kitten Cuddle Party of Awesomeness
  • Kinda like a Scholastic Book Fair with local makers, books, and surprises!
  • Smutty book bedazzling craft
  • The Good Girl Gauntlet Game Show

Pack your kaboodle & bring your big hair, big feelings, and zero interest in behaving. We are taking over downtown Denver!

COMING IN LATE JUNE

Get on the list so you know when any and all future events go live!

I signed up for this event during the gov't shutdown in Oct/Nov.  I had nothing but time on my hands to consider and evaluate "what am I doing?", found this retreat, and set everything up.

As the time came for me to go to San Diego, the only hesitation was the same one that comes before anything I sign up for... I get comfy and as the time to leave arrives I begin to question -

Do I really want to do this?  Is this worth the money, time, & energy?

It was indeed worth it!!

I was most surprised at the common shared experiences of all women in the room. We could all share a similar language thru our individual lenses and life experiences.

Attend with an open heart, speak up about your experiences because you are not alone, and dive deep into the fun.  Don't sit on the sideline or hide in the hotel room.

ALL SPARK EVENTS

The Five Elements of Every SPARK

Every SPARK is a little different depending on the city and the theme.  But every single one is built around the same five core ideas.

1.  Spread Feral Hope & Joy!

Through laughter that makes you snort, glitter you'll be finding for weeks, hot-to-trot crafts, dancing like nobody's filming, sequins for absolutely no reason, and a daily pile of joy activators that drag you out of your head and back into your body. Joy is the whole damn point and to take it back home with you to ripple out to the world!

2. Find Your Future Golden Girls (or Ropers)

The best part of my events is the room of real midlife women — every shade, every size, every story — where you find out you are not the only one who is feeling all of the feelings right now! They tend to be critical thinkers, smart as fuck, are finding their fire, unlearning the bullshit we were taught, and becoming the kind of role models they needed when they were younger. They are the ones who will laugh and cry with you, hype you up, celebrate your successes, and absolutely join you for cheesecake and late-night chats.

And by late-night, obviously, I mean 9 pm.

3. Heal like a motherfucker

Through 30-second hugs (optional, always) and positive psychology workshops that don't suck — science-backed, never dry, occasionally featuring a squeaker chicken. Through cuddling baby animals — kittens, puppies, and goats so far — because sometimes the best medicine has four legs and zero agenda. Through proving to yourself that you can still be silly and brave at this age.

4. Play Like an Adult

Remember fun? We're bringing it back loud and with matching satin jackets. Rage rooms & rage painting parties, game shows, dance breaks, and 80s and 90s singalongs at full volume. Easy group dancing where everyone's a little awkward and achy and nobody gives a damn. Plus a Mrs. Roper Romp Scavenger Hunt, Drag Bingo, cosplay nights, and a steady supply of the gloriously ridiculous.

5. Release the Rage (Or Use It for Fuel)

You're not too much — you've just been holding it for decades, and it's quietly wrecking you. So here we let it out: loud, messy rage release, plus somatic basics that move the stuck stuff and finally complete the stress cycle your body never got to finish.

Rage isn't a problem. It's information. It's fuel. Stop swallowing it and it turns into clarity, into power, into pointing all that fire at something worth changing. Midlife women with their rage aimed in the right direction? That's not a crisis. That's a force.

Hey, I’m Kira!

Your Gen X, no-BS positive psychology coach, & midlife hype woman.

For the past 18+ years, I helped women get out of their own way to create unshakeable self-worth, joy, & relationships.

I mix positive psychology, brain science, and real-life midlife magic to help you create joy that actually lasts. No perfection, no pretending—just real women, real laughter, and real change.

Because you’re not broken, behind, or too old to start something new.

You’re right on time.
And Spark is where it gets fun again.

BTW, I fucking love running retreats...

I've been running retreats since 2014 & they are kinda my thing.

Helping women cut through the noise and figure out what actually lights them up — not what looks good on paper, not what other people expect, but what makes sense for who you are right now is my daily goal.

Not the version of you who held it all together while quietly burning out. The current you — smart, capable, maybe a little crispy around the edges, but ready for something more grounded, more joyful, and a hell of a lot more you.

I’ve spent years coaching and studying positive psychology, but more importantly, I’ve spent years having real conversations with women who are tired of running on autopilot.

Working with me feels like having a smart, thoughtful, no-fluff friend who gives you advice you can trust...in your corner.

Because this part of your story?
It’s not the end. It’s the beginning of something way better.

Who Spark is for:

1. Women who are done pretending everything’s fine.

You’ve held it together for everyone — family, work, life — and you’re finally ready to find what lights you up again. You don’t need to be fixed; you just need space to breathe, laugh, and reconnect to yourself.

2. Women who crave joy, realness, & community.

You’re tired of surface-level connection. You want to be around kind, funny, down-to-earth women who get it — who want to dance a little, laugh a lot, and talk about the real stuff without judgment.

3. Women who are curious, open, and ready to play.

You don’t have to know what’s next — you just have to show up. You’re willing to try new things, even if they’re a little outside your comfort zone, because you know that’s where the magic (and the laughter) lives.

Who Spark is NOT for:

1.The “mean girl” energy crowd.

If you’re the type who sits in the back, rolls your eyes, judges others, and refuses to engage in anything that feels unfamiliar (that’s fear, by the way), this probably isn’t your scene.

2. Anyone who thinks compassion has conditions.

If you believe that only certain people — based on color, body size, sexuality, religion, gender identity, or background — deserve love, respect, or joy… Spark is not for you.

3.Anyone looking for a perfectly curated, influencer-style weekend.

This isn’t a retreat for fake smiles & fake besties! Fuck that shit.  Spark is about real people, real connection, messy laughter, and full permission to be yourself — not about performing for others. Haven't we done that long enough?

"I left with a renewed peaceful joy, unexpected silliness, and a very real spark I thought I’d left in my earlier years."

Attending Kira's SPARK Midlife event in San Diego was not on my 2026 bingo card, but it turned out to be a free space I didn’t know I needed. Kira's passion and teachings wrangled 50 women into instant soul sisters--and no Wi-Fi was required.

If you need to spark joy in your life, join Kira on an event or work with her to really dig in--ZERO regrets, FIVE stars.

Spark Guidelines

This weekend is about joy, connection, and community — so here are a few gentle ground rules to help keep the vibe fun, kind, and drama-free.

1. No Drama Llamas.
We left high school decades ago. No gossip, no eye rolls, no side commentary.

2. Confidentiality matters.
What’s shared at Spark stays at Spark. Everyone deserves a space to be honest and real without worrying it’ll leave the room.

3. No fixing or unsolicited advice.
You don’t need to solve anyone’s life, you are. Just listen, laugh, and support. (I’ve got the teaching & coaching covered).

4. Embrace the awkward.
You might dance, glue sequins to a crown, or laugh so hard you snort. That’s kind of the point.

5. Phones down, hearts open.
Snap a few pics, then be here. The real moments don’t need a filter.

6. Comfort over everything.
Wear what feels good, bring what helps, and don’t suffer through bad shoes or uncomfortable pants.

7. Assume good intent.
Everyone’s doing their best. If something feels off, give grace, take a breath, and remember — no drama llamas.

"We shared stories, the hard stuff, the messy stuff, lots of stuff that usually stays quiet. There were tears. There was a LOT of laughter. And there were crayons and so much glitter, and puppies and rage rooms and Mrs. Roper costumes and choreo, and somehow all of those things felt equally healing."

I was shaking with want-to-puke nervous energy as I was getting to the airport. Flying across the country alone to spend 4 days in San Diego with women I’ve never even met or spoken to before felt…questionable at best. Especially with my spicy little side of anxiety & social OCD tagging along (thanks perimenopause).

But then something beautiful happened.
I met really freakin incredible people.

We shared stories, the hard stuff, the messy stuff, lots of stuff that usually stays quiet. There were tears. There was a LOT of laughter. And there were crayons and so much glitter, and puppies and rage rooms and Mrs. Roper costumes and choreo, and somehow all of those things felt equally healing.

I found something I had lost and was severely missing … My spark. My love for telling the truth about the hard stuff. And a reminder that joy, play, and laughing until you snort are not luxuries in hard seasons.

Let’s get loud, laugh hard, & take up space.

Let’s be gloriously too much, on purpose.

Let’s make midlife look like freedom.

Let’s stop shrinking and start shining.

Let’s be the women our younger selves needed to see.

I feel like I’m leaving behind little sparkle footprints everywhere I go now!”

“Spark was EXACTLY the event I needed to inject some lightness, levity, and JOY back into my life. I walked away with fabulous new friendships and a renewed sense of self. I feel like I’m leaving behind little sparkle footprints everywhere I go now!”
