9:00 AM â What to Do with All of the Fucking Rage
Letâs be honest â midlife rage hits different.
In this session, weâll dig into what that anger is really trying to tell you (spoiler: itâs not that youâre crazy or mean â itâs that youâve had enough). Weâll explore the neuroscience of rage, the cultural conditioning that keeps women from expressing it, and how to move it through your body instead of storing it in your shoulders and jaw.

Stretch it out, and get ready for the ultimate throwback challenge. From Tiger Beat covers to iconic rom-com quotes, see if you can guess your favorite heartthrobs and pop-culture legends for ridiculous prizes and bragging rights. 12:30 PM â Kintsugi Group Activity
With guidance from a local Japanese expert, youâll practice Kintsugi â the ancient art of repairing cracked ceramics with gold. This hands-on experience blends mindfulness, creativity, and reflection. Itâs not about perfection or pretending the cracks donât exist â itâs about honoring the repair. Because growth isnât about avoiding the mess; itâs about finding beauty and perspective in it.

This is the best kind of self-care. You just have to lay on the floor & take it all in! Itâs relaxation you can feel â no effort required.
3:00 PM â Optional Upgrade Activity:Â Rage Room or Paint Splatter Experience
Your choice: smash it or splash it. Whether youâre breaking plates in a rage room or turning emotion into art with paint, this is your chance to release whatâs been sitting under the surface â safely, loudly, and with a little laughter. Because sometimes healing looks like breaking shit or throwing color at a canvas.
$50 per person plus lyft to get there.
SATURDAYÂ - FEBRUARY 28, 2026
9:00 AM â How We Accidentally Became Procrastinators
Weâll start by looking at how smart, capable women like us end up stuck on pause. Hint: it has nothing to do with laziness or willpower.
Youâll recognize the patterns â the lists, the pressure, the âIâll start Mondayâ loop â and start to see that something deeper is going on. Together, weâll pull back the curtain on whatâs really driving that pause button and why your brain might actually think itâs helping you.
No shame. No lectures. Just curiosity, laughter, and a few âoh damn, thatâs meâ moments.

10:35 AM â Why We Do the Things We Do
Motivation isnât magic â itâs science (with a little bit of mystery). Weâll explore what actually drives our behavior â the push, the pull, and the invisible patterns that keep us circling the same habits on repeat.
Through quick, interactive moments, youâll start to spot the real reasons behind what you do (and what you avoid). Youâll leave with a few simple questions that help you decode your own motivation â and maybe rethink what âstuckâ actually means.
11:30 AM â Lunch (On Your Own)

Grab your caftan, wig, and your sense of adventure â itâs time for the Mrs. Roper Romp Scavenger Hunt! I'll break you into small groups & youâll explore, laugh, and complete delightfully ridiculous challenges with your fellow midlife mischief-makers. Expect silly challenges, teamwork, and pure joy â because who said personal growth canât include a little sparkle and chaos?
Mrs. Roper dress up is HIGHLY encouraged!
After the scavenger hunt, stay in costume &Â we will head out somewhere to laugh, grab a mocktail or cocktail, and celebrate our last night together.

The goal isnât to go back and âdo better.â Itâs to go home and be different. Together, weâll talk about what it actually looks like to bring Spark into real life â the mindset shifts and the tiny joy habits that help you protect your peace when life gets loud again.
9:45 AM â (Spark Note to Future Me)
This isnât homework â itâs a time capsule. Youâll write a short, funny, heartfelt note to your future self â the one who might forget how good this weekend felt.Â

10:15 AM â Quick Break
10:30 AM â Q&A with Kira

Weâll circle up for one last collective moment â sharing glimmers, reflections, and a peek at the group mural weâve built together.Â
11:30 AM â Goodbye Ceremony
This is where we wrap it all up â with gratitude, laughter, and maybe a few tears.
A short reflection, some heartfelt words, and a few hugs later, youâll head out carrying more calm, more clarity, and a deeper sense of connection â to yourself and to this community.
12:00 PM â Departures &Â Hugs
This isn't goodbye. Just a "see you soon" at the next Spark!
For the past 17+ years, I helped women get out of their own way to create unshakeable self-worth, joy, & relationships.
I mix positive psychology, brain science, and real-life midlife magic to help you create joy that actually lasts. No perfection, no pretendingâjust real women, real laughter, and real change.
Because youâre not broken, behind, or too old to start something new.
Youâre right on time.
And Spark is where it gets fun again.
I've been running retreats since 2014 & they are kinda my thing.
Helping women cut through the noise and figure out what actually lights them up â not what looks good on paper, not what other people expect, but what makes sense for who you are right now is my daily goal.
Not the version of you who held it all together while quietly burning out. The current you â smart, capable, maybe a little crispy around the edges, but ready for something more grounded, more joyful, and a hell of a lot more you.
Iâve spent years coaching and studying positive psychology, but more importantly, Iâve spent years having real conversations with women who are tired of running on autopilot.
Working with me feels like having a smart, thoughtful, no-fluff friend who gives you advice you can trust...in your corner.
Because this part of your story?
Itâs not the end. Itâs the beginning of something way better.
MEET OUR GUEST EXPERTS!
Somatic Practitioner
Your favorite curly-haired, Gemini Xennial, San Diego-based Crosby Noricks helps midlife women get out of their heads and into their bodies, where clarity, confidence, and joy actually live.
Her short, feel-good practices help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that went missing while life was busy life-ing. No incense or interpretive dance required (unless youâre into that).
Â
MEET OUR SPACE
It's seriously called Sparks. I can't make this shit up.
In the Heart of the Gaslamp District
Our meeting space at Sparks Gallery sits right in downtown San Diegoâs historic Gaslamp Quarter â surrounded by everything you could possibly need.
Step outside and youâre just minutes from hotels, cozy cafĂŠs, some of the cityâs best restaurants and shops and fun activities that you can check out in your free time.
Whether youâre grabbing lunch between sessions, meeting friends for dinner, or taking an evening stroll, everything is walkable, vibrant, and full of energy â the perfect backdrop for your Spark weekend.
Â
You can stay anywhere you like â youâre free to book a hotel, stay with a friend, use hotel-points, grab an Airbnb, or whatever setup feels best for you.
That said: Iâll be staying at Hotel Z (521 6th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101) in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter.
Itâs super convenient for our weekend (just across the street), reasonable, and I absolutely recommend it â but availability is limited, so if youâre thinking about it, prioritize booking early.
Quick pro tips:
Choose a location thatâs easy to get to and from, and with parking/transport options nearby (even for rideshare).
If youâre splitting a room to keep costs down, have a plan for who books it, how the cost is split, and how to manage any deposits or cancellation policies. We are aiming for zero drama.
Regardless of where you stay, aim for comfort â your room should feel like a retreat after our sessions, not another thing to stress about.
I have added a few other nearby options in the FAQs.
Youâve held it together for everyone â family, work, life â and youâre finally ready to find what lights you up again. You donât need to be fixed; you just need space to breathe, laugh, and reconnect to yourself.
Youâre tired of surface-level connection. You want to be around kind, funny, down-to-earth women who get it â who want to dance a little, laugh a lot, and talk about the real stuff without judgment.
You donât have to know whatâs next â you just have to show up. Youâre willing to try new things, even if theyâre a little outside your comfort zone, because you know thatâs where the magic (and the laughter) lives.
If youâre the type who sits in the back, rolls your eyes, judges others, and refuses to engage in anything that feels unfamiliar (thatâs fear, by the way), this probably isnât your scene.
If you believe that only certain people â based on color, body size, sexuality, religion, gender identity, or background â deserve love, respect, or joy⌠Spark is not for you.
This isnât a retreat for fake smiles & fake besties! Fuck that shit. Spark is about real people, real connection, messy laughter, and full permission to be yourself â not about performing for others. Haven't we done that long enough?
This community has been life changing.
The love and support that I have received has changed me completely as a person. I am so thankful I have these women in my life and to have created lifelong connections and friendships with positive, like minded, supportive, loving, Â women."Â
This weekend is about joy, connection, and community â so here are a few gentle ground rules to help keep the vibe fun, kind, and drama-free.
1. No Drama Llamas.
We left high school decades ago. No gossip, no eye rolls, no side commentary.Â
2. Confidentiality matters.
Whatâs shared at Spark stays at Spark. Everyone deserves a space to be honest and real without worrying itâll leave the room.
3. No fixing or unsolicited advice.
You donât need to solve anyoneâs life, you are. Just listen, laugh, and support. (Iâve got the teaching & coaching covered).
4. Embrace the awkward.
You might dance, glue sequins to a crown, or laugh so hard you snort. Thatâs kind of the point.
5. Phones down, hearts open.
Snap a few pics, then be here. The real moments donât need a filter.
6. Comfort over everything.
Wear what feels good, bring what helps, and donât suffer through bad shoes or uncomfortable pants.
7. Assume good intent.
Everyoneâs doing their best. If something feels off, give grace, take a breath, and remember â no drama llamas.
We were able to form a strong bond almost immediately and our friendships have only just begun.Â
